NAD! Mmmmm Tweed....

Picked up this Fender '59 Bassman Reissue 4x10 Tweed Combo yesterday! This one is an older USA model. This thing sounds great!! I took it to band practice last night, right after I bought it, and I've never been more happy with my tone. Everything just sounds... better now! Next on the list is to sell my Blackstar and Ampeg and pick up a '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue.

Re: NAD! Mmmmm Tweed....

I bet that's fun to carry.

It's actually not as heavy as it looks. The cabinet is built out of pine (from what I read online, but I could be wrong), so it is actually lighter than my Blackstar HT40 1x12 combo.

Nice! I tried one of those once in GC years and years ago - I remember it being loud, really damn loud.

I'm sure I'd enjoy a 5F6A to complement my AB165.

Yes, it s CRAZY STINKIN' LOUD!!! When I played through it during band practice on Friday, I got a bad headache from the volume. Lol It sounds great though. I'm going to pick up d DRRI for smaller gigs and just to have a quieter amp.

Re: NAD! Mmmmm Tweed....

my bassman was probably the best amp I have ever played. Miss that thing. I know I can always get another but I loved that amp hehe.

Haha I think that my idea of loud is different than everyone else's. I usually play my Bassman around 4-5 with a substantial volume boost from my pedals. I was playing my friend's Soldano Avenger the other day and MAN was that loud. My Bassman could still keep up with it.

I think I had a point...

Re: NAD! Mmmmm Tweed....

The guitarist in my last band had one and I loved the sound, a great core sound and it took effects well. He sold it for a Cyber Twin... I never liked that one! Congrats, cool amp.

Yeah, I bet so! That sucks that you had to get rid of it. I wish I would of have the money at the time when you were selling it. Haha!

Thanks bro! And yes, the Bassman is a little too loud for church haha! So I'm going to get the DRRI for that and for smaller gigs when the Bassman is too much.
