NAD--took a chance, let's see if it works out. Bugera.

Just give them a call and add it, should be able to do that. It's usually based on the original purchase price, so it should only be $20-$30. Then if it dies, you send it back to them and they refund your money. (As you know they're not going to repair it. :) )

Sounds like that's the same as Sweetwater offers (Sweetwater includes it with purchase, of new gear anyway). They supposedly replace or refund. If it's only $20 or $30 bucks, I'd do it. I've heard mixed reviews, at best, about Bugera's (Music Group) service, warranty or not.

I grabbed a 6262 head and a 333 head and added the extended warranties to them. I figured I'd use them for just under 2 years and then sell them and probably break even. :D

Out of curiosity, what were the stock speakers? I assume probably the Bugera branded ones. The newer Turbosound speakers a lot of their amps come with are great, to me at least. I have one in a Bugera 1x12 cabinet I use with my V22.

Yep. The Bugera Classics, or something like that. Kinda lifeless. They definitely do NOT have the pop of the Celestions, Splawns, or WGS speakers.

I have to do that. Kind of a no-brainer if they'll offer it to me. Do things like changing speakers and pulling tubes to lower the wattage void the MF warranty by any chance?

Probably, but put them back in if you need to. :D

Why not just get a matched quad from JJ's? Then just make sure it's properly biased.

Now that I got the money owed to me by my last job (8 months coming), that is exactly what I'm going to do. I got a bit of a bug tonight, and swapped out the preamp tubes. This amp was squealing like nuts. It was a big help. A BIG help. I used the GT12AX7-M tubes for all four at first, then an old RCA 12AU7 in the PI. With the AX, it still feedback, but not as bad PLUS all microphonics are gone now. With the AU7, I can crank it up and the feedback situation is pretty normal. As far as the tone of the amp, it is sooooo much better now. I can't imagine how much better it will be once the new power tubes are in and biased.
