NAD: Vox (I love UPS.)

Re: NAD: Vox (I love UPS.)

The Trademark 10 was expensive and digital modeling was right around the corner. I got mine used, but that little thing sounds wonderful. I've owned the Trademark 60 for years, although that is a different amp.

Mine is the MV50AC and it sounds great through a 12" and a 2X12" (8 ohms) and even better through 2 ea. 12" and 2 ea. 2X12's @ 4 ohms. This allows one to get the full 50 watts.

Yeah, the twelve'r really makes a difference. I'd really love to be able to hear all of these side by side. The AC version sounds intriguing also.

Re: NAD: Vox (I love UPS.)

I almost forgot, in my mini review, to give a shout out to Vox for properly implementing the Gain control. When it's all the way down, you have unity gain. Not, no volume. As much as I love my Bogner Alchemist, if you roll the gain down to zero, the volume is zero. A gain control should not be a volume control. I'm amazed by how many amp manufacturers get this wrong. Way to go Vox.

Is it real???

The box MISSPELLED "AMPLIFIER"

That's hilarious. I didn't even catch that. The Vox box is correct. Only the outside carton is wrong. This amp is built in Vietnam, so they probably did the carton too.
