nailbomb vs aftermath?

hey, so i have had the nailbomb pickup from bareknuckle in my mockingbird for a while... i love the hell out of it, especially the neck pickup, surprisingly versatile, anyway im sending my mockingbird back to bc rich to exchange for a different finish as the current one has a finishing defect in it, i will have to pull out my bareknuckles and while im waiting im wondering if trading my nailbomb for an aftermath would be a good idea? the only thing that i dont like about my nailbomb (alnico) is that i find it lacks a little output, i find it a tad too smoothe, i want something sharper, and something that truly eliminates fizz, which i seem to be getting through my peavey 6534... would the aftermath be a better choice or do i just stick with my nailbomb?

Re: nailbomb vs aftermath?

You could try a ceramic magnet in the Nailbomb first. That should give you a bump in output and high end.

yea i think, ive had 3 alnico 5 magnets, and have never liked them in the bridge... well i have liked them but not exactly what tone im after, ill look into changing the magnet

Re: nailbomb vs aftermath?

but on a side note, if i got the nailbomb ceramic, what is the difference between that and an aftermath

From the comparisons I heard, the C-Bomb was a bit bigger and more, ahum, organic and old school (90's) sounding.
Aftermath would be a great choice for a setup with 2 guitarists playing intricate stuff though.
