Name that riff...

Re: Name that riff...

never hoid it before but it's catchy. sometimes catchy riffs immediately sound stolen!

Re: Name that riff...

I think this would be the 'inspiration'...

...definately sticks... it's been used by other band's too...lol..just can't remember which one's right now.

Re: Name that riff...

If I can't place it by tonight I'll probably use it. Its not like my stuff gets past a rehearsal space at this point anyhow.

That Fear Factory track isn't quite what I was thinking of. Maybe Dank is right.

Re: Name that riff...

Answered my own question after all.

Apparently it wont let me embed a time-jump, just go to 3:31 in. Its very brief at the end, but thats exactly what I was thinking of.

Re: Name that riff...

On the bright side, I feel like I can use the riff. The lead bit is too much the same though.

Re: Name that riff...

Not very close. Proceed!

P.s. I want to collaborate on a sleigher tune this holiday season if you're into it. Maybe a rock around the crispy tree kinda thing.

Really? I think its very very similar.

I kind of fell off with the Sleigher stuff, I got out of practice with singing and can't get back into it. I have song from each of the last 2 years running re-written and recorded, but never got the vocals done.

Re: Name that riff...

It dos sound familiar in a way, like Sound Garden or Alice in Chains or, I don't know. This will bug the crap out of me now, thank you very much! LOL

Re: Name that riff...

I think it's a mashup of many other riffs which makes it it's own. I can hear a bit of I Stay Away along with A Therapy For Pain, but it doesn't sound 100% like either.

Re: Name that riff...

The game is over, it was absolutely that Motorhead song I was thinking of.
