NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

We came out with 3 new pickups dedicated for the 7 and 8 string guitar as well as a distortion for 8 string.

Hi orpheo! Forgive my ignorance, I'm pretty new here - but what company do you work for?

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

Seymour Duncan... Ever heard of it? ;)

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

I know you guys have the big kahunas to look to for NAMM coverage - Premier Guitar and the like. But my little ol' slice of the internet is also going to NAMM, in a way! One of my good buddies who is the product manager for the biggest instrument retailer in NZ is at the Winter NAMM show right now, and we're going to be doing joint coverage this year, with him snapping the pics and me putting them up onto the Six-String Samurai website for all and sundry to have a look at.

If you're interested in seeing this year's NAMM from a slightly different angle, come along for the ride! The pictures from the show will be going into this Flickr account right here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92030427@N04/

It's actually being updated in real time, whenever he gets a glimpse of something awesome.

And I'll be writing up updates as we go, the first of which is a sneak peak at some of the upgraded Sterling by EBMM line at the pre-show: http://sixstringsamurai.co.nz/2013/...g-samurai-joint-coverage-part-1-the-pre-show/

Thanks for looking, SDUGF! Hope you enjoy it :)

Thank you VERY MUCH for the good quality images !

It is sooo much better than the one mod is doing over at HC Forums !
All that he is photographing is new gigital-ga-ga recording equiment and mic's and sh!te :(

Now I want a 7 string guitar!

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

Nazgul, Pegasus and Sentient?
7 and 8 strong only? Or will they be avaliable for 6-stringers too? I suspect they will be... But hey, who knows....

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

That giant Invader looks evil.

Also, I hereby petition that the Nazgul be made for 9-strings only.

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

They are not for 6 strings. Unsure if it will happen since they're aimed to aid lower tunings, but who knows?!

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

Also- Black Winter pickup set, available only in Scandinavian countries for a bit

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

Here's video of Rob Chapman's new band Dorje getting shut down by the sound police at the Seymour Duncan booth. The performance itself would have been epic, but ...this is pretty epic too.

Sorry dude - your location says the Netherlands, so I didn't think that you'd be part of the SD crew!

Finally got some Day 4 pics up - we ran into a stumbling block with the upload limit on the free Flickr account, so I signed up for the Pro account today to get us back in business!

Day 4!

You get around to seeing Rhodes Amplification there?

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

Orpheo is currently our forum ambassador as Richard Irons was before. Primarily to make sure we don't miss anything on the forums, problems or feedback. Though I am on here quite a bit these days as well.

We will have official information shortly, pictures and soundclips/videos. As for 6-string for the metal pickups, it's TBD so you can share your opinions on that if you'd like.
