NAMM Roundup: Summer 2012

Re: NAMM Roundup: Summer 2012

or paying £1000 for a Kurt Cobain Signature.

Yeah, there's no mid-range option for us. Or budget-range, for that matter.

I really dig the KC Jag and I'm a HUGE Nirvana fan but, having said that, I'm not really into humbuckers that much anymore. If I'm paying a grand for a guitar, it's going to be my number one, and I want my number one to have singles. If I was getting a Jag, I'd want it to have the classic electronics layout and single coils.

Fender Japan has a good range of classic lefty Jags, but you're talking at least £1,300 once you factor in shipping and import duties. I can't see myself paying that much for a guitar that won't be my main instrument, and I don't see my main instrument not being a Tele.

The Kobains are MIJ. The ones Sweetwater had in the gallery say MIJ. I figured with the pricing on them that was the case.

Old worlders, and left handed to boot! Not much going for ya huh? :D

at this present moment, it seems not. However, I am willing to say that I think we may well see left handed off set short scales within the next 2 years from fender or squier.

Re: NAMM Roundup: Summer 2012

Squier seems to just getting better and better recently. First the classic vibe and now this. Fender should step up their game considering their 'affordable' brand is starting to pass their lower to mid end models.

This is a terrible, terrible, midscooped mess of a demo.

But here's the new Gus G. signature Blackstar amp, the Blackfire.
