Nashville Tele Pickups / Tex-Mex

Broadcaster

New member
Question,
How do the bridge pickups in a Fender Nashville Tele (which it says all 3 pups are tex-mex) compare to an SD Broadcaster in terms oh highs/mids/lows and output volume?

They seem a to have less high end and crispness than a SD Broadcaster and also seem to have more overdrive or output, thus making it sound slightly more crunchy than the SD Broadcaster.
Any idea or thoughts?

Is there anywhere I can get specs on these fender pickups so I can compare them to SD's Broadcaster specs???

Thanks

he texmex strat pups ive seen are around 6.5k, never spec'd a tele set. im guessing that it might not have a bridge pup plate and has a higher dc resistance

What would the lack of plate and the higher dc resistance do in terms of sound?

Thanks

Re: Nashville Tele Pickups / Tex-Mex

basically what you described in the first post, the higher dc resistance means a less open top end with more mids and output which make it more crunchy. the baseplate changes the tone some, lindy fralin says it adds 5% more bottom and 5% more mids, im not sure if thats the best way to explain it but you get the idea.
