Nashville to ABR-1 Conversion

Well after getting talked into some Seth Lovers, Orange Drops, and 500k pots for my '97 LP standard, I'm starting to look towards dumping the Nashville Tune-O-Matic. Some quick measurements against my '74 told me that I will need different studs to pull this off. I found some at Stew-Mac , but haven't a clue which part number of there's to get. I was also looking at getting the ABR from them as well (unless someone tells me different). Does Lew carry this stuff as well? I wish I would have known about him before ordering my stuff for the pickup swap. :smack:

Re: Nashville to ABR-1 Conversion

The studs in the ABR are smaller that the nash. It would be easier to
go from ABR to Nash. Than the other way. You would have to dowel
and redrill the holes. Like mentioned above... WHY?

If you're going to this expense, check out the Tone Pros locking bridges. They have one in a vintage style AVR2 is the model I think. I just ordered another one. You'll love them.

Re: Nashville to ABR-1 Conversion

The Nashville is a pretty big unit. I've been told it will open things up quite a bit going to an ABR. That and its so darn big that you have to keep the tailpiece cranked pretty high which doesn't allow for much of a break over the saddles.
