Here's Nathan East's signature Yamaha bass:

And here is one of Victor Wooten's signature Fodera bass:

Does anyone have experience playing either of these or hearing them in person? Thanks for any info you can share.
What are the pros and cons of either bass? Thanks again to anyone able to share their knowlege or experience (or both!).
Really appreciate the feedback.

if you have the chops, you make either sound great. the construction is fairly different

Plenty of Victor videos out there. Do note that the one thousand US Dollars figure for the Fodera is just an initial non-refundable deposit. If you have to ask the full price, you cannot afford it.

Re: Nathan East v. Victor Wooten Signature Bass Guitars

I haven't played either bass; the closest I can come is having played a Fodera Victor Wooten Standard 4 about a decade ago. Back then it was $3500 new; I can hardly imagine what a new custom shop version would cost now. I hate to say it, but I found it hilariously over-priced for a relatively simple bass with an EMG P/J set and Mike Pope Flexcore. I obviously can't play anything like Victor Wooten, but IMO there are far better basses available for a lot less money not even including the used market.

^ I totally agree with the above. You should check out Lakland basses.
