Naturally aged covers = Shower window sill?

I know this sounds totally silly, but I've got 4 Duncan nickel covers and want them to have the antiquity look. Will they get that old tarnished look by being exposed to moisture, or could they rust? I got the bright idea of putting them on my shower window sill for about a month. :smack:

Does a shower-reliced pickup have better clean tones? Yes, I think that they do. Zestfully clean.

I found a cool way to relic the hell out of metal part. Use PC board etchant. You can get it at radio shack. Put enough to cover the part in a plastic container, & soak the part for maybe 5 minutes. Take it out & rinse it off instantly. If it's not relic-y enough put it back in for a while..

Don't dump that stuff down the drain. It's nasty, & will eat your pipes.

If it's properly plated, nickel doesn't rust.
