Nazgul + Phat Cat neck

Hey all,

I know this isn't a usual set. I have a Jazz/JB set. I have a Pegasus/Sentient set. I have Nazgul that I've never installed, and I'm looking for something to go with it that isn't something I already have in another guitar.

I'm interested in trying the Phat Cats, and have found notes saying it pairs well with humbuckers.

Anybody tried the combination of Nazgul + Phat Cat neck?

The Nazgul is pretty much a super-gain pickup, in that it works best with a lot of gain. The Phat Cat is a single coil, so it will hum with that amount of gain. That would be my only concern with that pairing, though.

It will be a contrast like the JB/Jazz. So if you like that you might like this combo. The PC is an organic single coiley tone and the Nazgul is a raw, ceramic hum. Also the PC is fully shielded so that helps some with the noise.
