Well, yes and no.

It's a Swing EZ-10 that I bought new with the intention of making it the base of a kit of sorts. Everything not made of wood was changed on the guitar.

Here's the original thread in case you're interested to know of the specs although I have since then changed the pickups again for a pair of FuglyBuckers!

Very cool! I love doing mods on my guitars, I don't own a single stock guitar myself

UPDATE:
THE WAITING SUCKS. I've got all my parts coming tomorrow minus the neck, I will do a bit of sanding tonight to smooth the body roughly with 80, 100, and 180 grit. I will also make the cavity covers and rout the cavities so I should have more pics up tonight!

UPDATE:
FINALLY was able to get the router out and finish off the control cavity. I also carved the heel very nicely.

Controls drilled and jackplate cavity routed



The template moved without me noticing Its fine though, I was able to get it to work!

Rest of the parts should be arriving tomorrow with the exception of the neck!

UPDATE!
Neck is coming today, beyond excited for that. I will post pictures when it gets here. It's been drizzling all morning so I don't know if I'll be able to cut my headstock shape into it yet, may just leave it as is. Final sanding today as well.

Decided to carve a tummy cut


And sanded here to 180 grit

I was originally going to mess around with it a bit, but now that it's here I like it just the way it is!

I drilled the holes to mount the neck, and for the bushings too.

Man it seems like this build thread is losing steam among the community, but I'll keep updating!

Finished final sanding today and she got her first layer of finish:







and drying:



Only twelve more coats to go!

What happened to the neck pup route? Looks like it had a stroke hehe. I guess as long as the pup fits it doesn't matter because you will be using a mounting ring right?
