NBD, Finally here

As some of you know, I recently have become interested in Cigar box guitars and basses. I like the folk art and heritage and the simple design of them. I am in the process of making two right now. And I recently just purchased a CGB on line. I thought I'd share it with you, now it's not something I would play every day but, I still think they are very cool!:cool2:

Cool, never seen a Bass cigar box before. How solid is the construction with those big strings on?

Re: NBD, Finally here

Very cool! Congrats .
I'd put amber speed knobs on it if it were mine though.

Actually it is pretty solid, it's got two piezos Pick-ups that I may switch out later, or leave it as is.
I want to make a Cigar box bass and put a pickup like this in it, I think it has that home made feel to it.

I think I like the covers more then the pick-ups, they seem very unique.

As I said before it pretty solid, the neck goes thru the body and butts up to the back. I thought it would be very awkward to play, but surprisingly enough it's not.

That's cool, I've just never seen anything like it. And those handmade pick ups would be very cool in something like yours... I dig it.
