Neck pairing for custom custom for stoner/Doom

Hey guys, I’m looking for a good pairing for a custom custom bridge, that will be growly, but not muddy under heavy distortion/ Fuzz. Like the posting says, doom/stoner metal in C# standard. High gain amp, les Paul like guitar (scale, tone wood, hardware, etc) I have the jazz now, it does a good job at staying out of the mud...but is a bit too “polite” for my taste. I’m thinking a pearly gates, AlnicoII pro, or Phat cat. Thoughts?

Well, that music, to me, isn't very tight in the lows. So something with an A2 magnet would be my guess...fuzzy, but not chunky.

Downtuned stoner loves single coil in the neck, especially P-90 flavor, IMHO. So I'd say go with Phat Cat (or P-Rails). With humbucker in the neck, you need clarity for this music style. With single coil in the neck, you need huge bottom end. If you go with P-90 type of pickup, you also need to adjust the compression accordingly.

I’ve already made my selection for bridge, The custom custom works perfect, nice and spongy but not muddy

I'd use the Alnico II Pro in the neck.
