My choice: Duncan Jazz SH-2, cause I love the cleans especially.

Jazz! more articulate and versatile, not as muddy as PAF 36ths.

IMO the Jazz is the best neck humbucker on the market.

I haven't tried the PAF 36th. But I have a Jazz and it's excellent. But as I don't own both, I'll abstain from voting.

Not tried the PAF 36th anniversary, But I love the Jazz very articulate yet warm.

+1. More character than a JazzN, not so plain sounding. Since I don't use a lot of gain, I need a PU with more flavor to it. I use spin-a-splits on my neck HB's, so I can easily dial in more treble and less mids.

Do you think that the 36th is too warm without the spin-a-splits?

36th...though I accidentally voted for the Jazz in the poll.

HUH? The 36ths are super articulate and very, very far from muddy.

Haven't tried the 36th, so I won't vote. My favorite all-time neck pickup sound is a telecaster neck (with 500K pots to really open it up), so the jazz might be closer to what I like in a neck pickup.

Yes, JazzN's are closer to a Fender sound than a 36th.

Totally different pickups, designed to do different things.

That said, the only Jazz I was ever able to live with is a Duncan Designed version which is a tad warmer and fuller in the midrange, IME.

Didn't have them in the same guitar, but I like the 36th Neck in a 24-fret shredder guitar and greatly disliked the Jazz Neck in a fender scale-length LP-oid. Had this weird high end thing going on that I was very much not a fan of.

from all of the 36th PAF demos i heard and their specs i have no idea why there's the hype with them.

Different context- I love my Jazz paired with a JB as well as my PAF 36th neck paired with a Super D

Neck pickup by itself I like the PAF better
