Neck pickup has no sound....

Just installed a set of pickups in my tele. Little ‘59 bridge and Vintage stack neck.
The bridge works fine but the neck has no output...zero.
I checked and rechecked the diagram but I can’t see what I’ve done wrong. Red/white are taped off. Black to the switch and green/bare to ground.

The yellow wiring coming off the switch pole is the fender wiring which I soldered into under the bridge. So iow, I left the Fender wiring in place inside the electronics cavity and did the wiring inside the pickup cavity (under the bridge for the bridge pickup only.)
The Duncan wiring is visible for the neck pickup since I ran it into the control cavity.
What the heck did I do wrong here?
I tried swapping green and black but it didn’t help.

Cant see anything wrong. I mean, it’s pretty simple. I would try to reflow all the solders of the pickup.

If you measure it, it reads ok?

Edit: just to make sure, the black from the pickup is in the top row, right? Hard to tell.

Yes, the black hot pickup wire is on the right connected to the switch. If you follow it back (to the left) you can see the cluster from the pickup. Green/bare going to ground.

You know, I’ll have to test it quick to make sure I’m getting a reading. I didn’t think to do that.

Yes, I was double checking that the black from the neck was soldered to the switch in the blue, not red below.

I assumed you were using this wiring.

I’m not getting a reading on it.
The bridge pickup reads correct (a little hot but acceptable) the pickups I took out read correct but this particular pickup gives me nothing.
F*ck me

Yes, I’ve got it to the lug you have highlighted in blue.
I’m using the diagram that came in the pickup box.

Ugh. Sorry! Did you try halfway, between the red/white and ends as well? The last hope would be that for whatever reason the red white was not well soldered together.

If you got it new you can get another one but it would obviously be disappointing.

I didn’t try the red/white tbh, I hadn’t planned on using those options.

I actually bought from a forum member here. I messaged him and told him what we discovered. I’ll wait to see what he has to say.

Thanks for your help, and time Blille. I really appreciate it.

My pleasure! Happy to (try to) help :)

When you’re wiring sometimes you miss something because you look at it so much. I was hoping that was one of these. Hope you resolve it!

Re: Neck pickup has no sound....

Contacted the seller and he agreed to a refund upon return.

And I decided to order a Quarter Pound tele neck instead!

Good to hear. Quarter pound is serious business. Did you get the one with tap or a normal one?

I got the normal one. I know it’s a hot pickup and that concerns me as far as it pairing well with the little 59 in the bridge.....but that tone.....[emoji4]

Re: Neck pickup has no sound....

Probably the right call for playing but way less fun to strategize on the forum with random options that you’d never use :)

I suppose I can just continue to talk out my *ss like I currently do!! Lol
