Neck pickup suggestions for Ibanez RG550

Hi-
I have an ibanez rg550 (basswood, maple neck and fingerboard) and i am getting a custom pickguard made for it - no middle single pu, no tone knob and replacing the vol knob with a push/pull pot similar to george lynch's guitars.
Currently I have a seymour duncan distortion in the bridge (which i love) and a screamin demon in the neck. The screamin demon is ok, nothing great, but my main complaint is that it is too low output relative to the bridge pu.
So, looking for new pu suggestions. Also contemplating maybe a single coil (figured if i decide this, better before getting the pickguard made).
Anyway, need suggestions for a nice neck pu (hum or single) which will match well with the SD distortion in the bridge.

Other info - I play mainly old school metal; metallica, testament, king diamond. Using guitar through a Vox AD30.

After doing some searches....i think i'm gonna go with the Full Shred neck pu.

I'm not sure you're going in the right direction. You said that the Screamin
Demon was too quiet. Its probably a bit louder than the Full Shred neck.
Why not the distortion neck, it looks like it is really intended to balance
the Distorion bridge? Thats just using the DC resistance ratings as
an approximate volume rating.

PERSONALLY I would go AIR NORTON or BREED NECK from Dimarzio

I have heard great things about the Air Norton for the neck - over at the jemsite forums, it's like the best neck pu available.
How would it stack up in terms of output with the SD distortion?

I have 2 RG750's that are similar to your 550, but with rosewood fretboard. I use a Breed neck in one and an Evolution bridge in the neck of the other. The Evo balances perfectly with the Super Distortion in the bridge.

I have decided to keep the screamin demon as i played around with the pu height and was able to get it louder.
Thanks everyone for thier advice - i will use your suggestions for my next guitar (if i land this job).
