Neck pickup to be opposite of Black Winter?

Re: Neck pickup to be opposite of Black Winter?

I like the taper of the YJM but not sure how it compares to others. I know I like it better compared to the CTS it replaced.

Anyone have any experience with the super pots or know anything about Bourns? Is The L90 still a good route for the neck. And finally...does anyone have comparisons mp3s between the l90...black winter... Sh-1 or sh-2?

Re: Neck pickup to be opposite of Black Winter?

I'm gonna go with the Bourns 95 series for at least the tone or volume. Which would be best for tone and which would be best for volume? Model 82 or 95?

So far my list is: L-90 4h neck
Bourns 82 and or 95 pots.
I'm going to replace the 5-way switch and probably the input jack.

I'm gonna' mark down the Planet Waves stereo input jack as the input jack I am considering. Although, the one they manufacture is gold which doesn't match the guitar. I left a message and asked them about making a custom silver input jack. Besides matching the guitar, it will all also be a better conductor.

I always just use switchcraft jacks. Why go with the planet waves over switchcraft?

The BW neck is actually the opposite of what I thought it was gonna be, it suits the BW bridge very well & I now use it as my main neck pup in my guitars. It's got singing lead tones but cleans up really nice. It's got a nice rich sound but with great high & mid response, so I'd at least give it a shot

A1! I recently installed a Black Winter set in a Charvel and was VERY surprised by the neck. The bridge gave me what I expected but the neck gave more. Great neck pup!

Crap....I went out of tab and back in. In short...I said I would choose Neutrik over switch craft and the planet waves jack can be used with extra ground...I think my guitar already has a switch craft jack which I really like...it looks nice. Although I'll go the extra mile with a planet waves stereo jack.

This is the Planet Waves input jack: http://www.warmoth.com/Planet-Waves-Stereo-Jack-Gold-Plated-P733.aspx
