neck problems

hey
My tele neck does this odd thing where my high e string makes an odd sound when playing, even unplugged. Its kind of a buzzing sound, but it doesnt sount like fret buzz, it is more of a quivering sound, hard to explain. I am not familiar with fixing necks for intonation/action/buzz issue. Could someone give me some advice on what this is/ how to fix it? Thanks a lot for your help

Where does it come from? The nut maybe? Take the neck and look down the length from the nut end. Does it look straight? Are your string ferulles in tight?

I've had that happen on my Jackson with a TOM, the saddle wasn't fully cut right, so I had to sand it a bit. Works fine now. Try pulling on the string to move it around in the saddle, see what happens.
