Currently I have a Seth in the Bridge, and I feel that there is a drop of Volume when I switch from the Jazz N to the Bridge,
What would be a better combo to compliment the N-Pup?....I play Mostly Blues, Blues-Rock....
Thank you !!!

Hve you adjusted PU and pole piece heights (lower the neck, raise the bridge)?

No Blueman335, I haven't done any of that.....I love the Seths ! and I know you are a big fan of them also, Right?...
But I am looking for something a little more Focus and Woody for the bridge Just a little more aggresive ? If it is out there.....

Thank you for your suggestions, I will try them too !;)

Wlh would be great, Jb and Pearly Gates are popular choices too. But I'm gonna push the 59/custom hybrid. That and a Jazz neck are my favorite humbucker combo, granted I haven't tried a 59/jazz pickup.

Do yourself a favor first. Try the fore mentioned suggestion. Its time well spent. I just got done doing this with a set of factory P-90's,
and finally decided they will be gone and replaced.

Didn't like the Jazz n and 59 bridge. Seemed like the 59 b didn't have enough mids to when switching between neck and bridge.

Here are two combinations that work really well in my SG's.

Jazz neck with a 59/Custom Hybrid
Jazz neck with a WLH

Whole Lotta Humbucker.

So far, I am leaning towards The 59 Custom Hybrid..... Also ,the PG's , I have to check the WLH....
But Thank you for your Suggestions !!!!

I had a fender custom shop hss strat that had a dimarzio super distortion variation in the bridge, which i ended up replacing with a duncan designed version of the jb4. Anyway, i put the dimario in my buddys sg, which had the original neck pickup, and it sounded great. I would definitely recommend one of these based on what u like to play on it, which is what i like to play on an SG: a jb sh4, duncan packages it as a set with your neck pickup because its such a great match, or a duncan distortion sh6 or dimarzio super distortion. Just trust me, this is what you want, and the jb sh4 cleans up well, so you won't be bummed when you feel like going clean. But you'll have the right power for any live gigs and recording. Sh6 if u want more metal too. Dont listen to the above, you'll want this versatility... the dimarzio sounds like **** clean though, be warned, the duncans sound good clean and distorted.

I recently installed a Jazz neck and a Screamin Demon in one of my Les Pauls. This is one hell of a combo. Both pups sound huge! The Demon still maintains the feel of a vintage output pickup. It is a bit more aggressive compared to a 59 or Pearly Gates (which I have in other LPs). It's focus is on the upper midrange (just slightly brighter than a Pearly Gates), but with the attack and focus of an Alnico V. Very percussive and woody in a cocked wah sort of way. I too play Blues-Rock material, and these pickups fit me fine.

Good luck with your choice.

The JB matches so well with the Jazz neck you will not believe it. I had the combo in an all mahogany guitar and switching from neck to bridge had the same amount of bass and the JB added the right amount of kids in for soloing. I had the heights adjusted so the volume output was very close with just a slight boost from the JB. Seymour was at the top of his game when he matched these two together, IMVHO

Re: Ned suggestions on a Bridge Pup, to go along w/a Jazz Neck, on a SG...???

customs go good with the jazz. So does the JB, but the JB would not be close to a tone that I would recommend for straight up blues. Its hot and modern sounding. WLH and 59/custom hybrid are good suggestions but since you already got the custom5, run with it. It should be good for you. If not, the custom takes mag swaps very well, just buy a couple different mags and swap them out till you get your sound right. you should be good

+1. I play blues and classic rock, and there are better choices than JB's for that, same goes for jazz and country. There's no one PU that's great for every kind of music.

The JB/Jazz combo rocks in my strat. It was exactly what I was looking for.
