Nedk Humbucker in HSH strat

I have a strat with a C5 in the bridge, a Fralin Blues SC in the middle and an alnico II pro in the neck. I'd like to replace the neck pup with something with an alnico 5 magnet that splits well. Any recomendations?

The 59 is a great neck pickup; alnico 5 magnet and it splits really well.

Welcome to the forum.

The 59 works well in a double cut guitar, but if you find it has too much low end (like I do), I'd go with a Jazz.

Thanks for the welcome and the info. I used to really like the A2pro when I had a Custom Custom in the bridge and it was my only guitar. Now it just sounds kind of mushy with the amps set for my other guitars. I keep going back and forth between replacing the A2 Pro with another humbucker or getting a new pickguard and going with a HSS set up. I really like the strat neck pup tone, but I have a Robert Cray strat that can get that sound. Maybe I'll give the 59 or Jazz a try first.

Try putting an alnico V magnet in your APH. It's kind of close to a Jazz when you do that.

Sounds like a good idea. Sorry if this is a lame question, but where do I get Alnico 5 magnets?
