Cool Cat is good for the money.

Boss CE-2. With the movement of the internal trimpot, you can get very close to the holy grail chorus pedal, the CE-1.

I think BOSS chorus pedals sound the best, but DOD and Digitech make some very nice pedals, too.

I haven't tried a bunch of others, but the H2O from Visual Sounds combines chorus and echo pedals in one sturdy box. Nice analog sound with a wide range for the controls, but my experience is limited.

I'm not a big chorus fan, but the voodoo labs chorus is very good. Not cheap, but definitely the best I've heard.

My favorite chorus hands down would be the Electro Harmonix Small Clone. Listen to Nirvana's Nevermind and you can't miss it.

Small Clone - for that drowning in chorus underwater feel.

Cheers guys, i'll try and have a go on all of the above mentioned if possible!
Im off to the shop now.....

Re: Need a chourus pedal by the weekend..... suggest!

You should try Boss CH-1...it sounds much more analog and focused than CE-5...

Cool Cat is best bang for buck. CE-2 if you can find one is sweet. If cash is no problem the best ones are the Fulltone ChoralFlange and the Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus.

Re: Need a chourus pedal by the weekend..... suggest!

Buy a good analouge one, get the modulator modded to your likeness.
The delaychip is of little matter, it is the modulator that is the real thing to tinker with.
Plus either get one with a good buffer or the hyped true bypass, but true bypass crap just adds noise and static if you ask me.
Just my take on it.

there are a few good ones. I had the voodoo lab and found it to be too bright and not enough lush. For my taste the best I have found is TC Electronics. Very warm and transparent.

I own the Voodoo Labs Analog Chorus and am real happy with it. Good range of chorus and pretty transparent with regard to tone.

1. TC Chorus
2. Fulltone
3. old Roland Chorus
4. Voodoo Lab
5. all the Boss's

Anyone tried the Marshall Vibra Chorus?

Ibanez also makes some pretty good ones, Maxon used to make pedals for Ibanez so theirs are also worth looking at.
If you can dig up an old MXR or an old Guyatone you're also got a good old analouge chorus, a little modding will make those very useful.
