I have always loved my Ernie Ball Regulars. Versatile and not too heavy.

Seconding this, can't go wrong with Ernie Ball.

I second the Dunlop Super Brights Stainless Steel recommendation. However, I use the 45-105 set. They are fairly low tension strings to begin with so I like the thicker set. FWIW, I also play with a pick and use a bit of OD. Another great thing with these strings is they are very inexpensive. I've bought a 4 string set for around $11/$12 when they are on sale.

I use Ernie Ball Cobalts. They have a nice feel and sound to them. They supposed to last longer, but I've found they last about as long as regular EB strings(which is a while)

I`m a fan of rotosound 66s

they have the perfect bass tone for me, even slapping,playing with your fingers or your thumb.
