Need advice. Marshall 2558 Jubilee combo

I've got a bead on one to trade my CR-500 for. I need something I can easily get $1000 or more quickly out of it. Harmony central shows them going for $800 or so. Ebay doesn't show any of that model either past or present. What's this amp REALLY worth. Can I get $1,000 easily or would it take some serious selling. Does anyone have a pic of one?

Re: Need advice. Marshall 2558 Jubilee combo

Hi Gr8. I got me a 2558 combo a few months back for $1250. I've seen them go on ebay in worse condition than mine for that and more. I'm not familiar with the CR-500 but the Marshall is bringing in the money and should do nothing but go up in value for awhile. However, keep in mind that shipping costs seem to have soared lately and that could affect the price for awhile. As far as sound, I love the amp for anyhing from "kinda" classic tone to really saturated Marshall sounds. Well, not really saturated but what a guy from the 70s would consider really saturated, hee hee.

EDIT: Here's the link to the thread I started when I was considering buying it, which I did.

I'm thinking that I might just do that if I can get it. Seems like a pretty solid deal then. I'll see if my cousin is willing to trade. I might off my other almost new Vox AD120VTH to offset the cost differential for this swap so I don't have to sell it immediately.

Shame, those are cool amps. For some reason my country is crawling with them and they go for really good prices. Must pick one up at some point.
