Need Advices on Bray 4550 vs Super Lead 100 vs Marshall Major

Hello,

i have spared enough money to buy a big badass amp.

I'm looking for late 70's to 90's hard rock , classic rock and metal sounds. I love playing Van halen, ACDC, Gnr, Skid row, ratt, eric clapton...

Which amp do you think will perform better for this kind of sounds and why ?

I don't really need a loud amp what i need is the specific brown sound we all know.

So what will be better between Bray 4550 Deluxe, Super Lead HW or 1966-70, Marshall major (1968) ?

Regards,

Patrick.

You didn't say where you are planning to play this beast. While any of those amps will give you the classic sound you're looking for, you'll need a football stadium or hockey arena to crank it up far enough to deliver the goods.

With all the fantastic gear out there these days, there are a thousand ways to get the brown sound and you're not limited to getting it the same way that the cavemen of yore got it. More info is needed to make informed suggestions. Where will you be playing, and with whom?

Out of your choices, go with the Bray.

Suggestion from a guy who's owned/played nearly everything chasing the brown sound: Get a Friedman BE100, Smallbox, or Dirty Shirley.

Well, I need a head that has enough power to deliver sound for something like a theater room. I play with a band during festivities.

I will need a little amp for my home too (practicing). I was wondering what will you suggest to me between the Marsahll JCM-1C and the JMP-1C ?
