Need amp for stock strat sounds

Can any of you tell me which amps i should be looking at for a thick and ballsy sound from Stock single coil strats.... I like i good thick rocking sound with lots of bottom end...... My 5150 does not cut it for single coils. seems to only work for humbuckers for me. My JCM 800 comes close... My 65 Deluxe amp is OK for clean tones.... But what amp makes a stock strat sing with a great bottom end? One of my Favourite players uses a new Plexi reissue with American Standard strats.... Maybe i should look at them but what else is there.

I use a fender tube amp and it's great for cleans and lite blues distortion.

fender twin dude. It is similar to a plexi in that it has tons of wattage and headroom, you just need to attack the tone stack with a good overdrive at high volume. The cleans...there's no doubt that they rock.

My favorite is a BF Fender tone with some great pedals....The BF Fender tone is round,full,and warm with nice mids...A great pedal just enhances it...

ive noticed youve got some really nice gear ( 5150, 65 deluxe, jcm800), try a fender twin

yeah, the twin or another slick BF model amp would be one of the last pieces of the strat tone puzzle left to experiment with so to speak.

Do you gig and/or play very loud jams/practices? The twin reissue might just be the ticket for you.

Thanks for Replying guys. I am a strat fan for sure and have been using them with humbuckers thru the amps i own as Humbuckers really work well with them. But the single coil sound i'm looking for i want a huge bottom end. So far i have bought these tube amps,

the 5150 stack-(my favourite higan amp)
The JCM 800 Stack
The real vintage 65 Fender Deluxe non-reverb
Peavey Classic 30 with matching tweed ext cab
and a Peavey Classic 50 head

I heard a guy using a VibroKing the other week and it sounds pretty good! But saddly out of my price range anytime soon.... Hiwatts i have been wanting to try but there is none to be found in the Toronto area..... a friend has one but it is beat

The Twin sounds like a good place to start. I love Floyd and David used Twins a lot in the studio. There is 2 Twins Fender offers and that is a vintage 85 watt reissue and a newer souped up model......

I didn't like Fenders Hot Rod series except for the clean sounds.... very cool clean sounds.

But then again i want to try a good tube distortion for strats over a pedal.... i have the clean amps to add pedals already i guess. The little Deluxe sounds good with a DS1 but not many other pedals sound good thru that amp. I had it re-tubed and the Caps changed. The Classic series amps i have don't have enough bottom to them for Strats to me.. they work good with Gibson style guitars best for me.

Thanks.... I bought most of these amps used or straight from Peavey as i knew the guys there, so i saved a ton.... The Peavey 5150 head and cab and the Classic 50 head i bought from them as they were getting rid of their Artist loaners for newer stock.... Got the 2 heads and the 5150 cab for less then $800can after tax. The Classic 30 with matching cab i scored used for $500 Canadian.... the 65 Deluxe was a guy who just wanted rid of it and i gave him $300 for it... He helped some guys move and they gave him the amp for helping... It didn't work so i bought it and restored it.... The Marshall i got when i worked part time at a music store... It also needs some TLC but at least it works and has been retubed.... It was modified with an extra Gain channel and the original vinyl covering was ripped off... I plan to recover it myself and have a good tech i know go over it again and remove the extra gain stage. The tech i want to use is the best.

If i can get some good gear for cheap i'm all over it

Another option to check is a Boogie. Older Mark Is & IIs have a great clean sound (overdrive sounds can be tough to dial in) But if you find one you like, you've got a "Pocket Bassman" for 8-900$.
I replaced the EV speaker in my Mark II with an Eminence Red Coat, (Either the "Stonehenge or the "Governor", I can't remember), & that removed some of the ice pick tones I was getting. I leave it in Rhythm Mode, set the gain at ~7, Master ~1-2, & pull on the Brite. The rest of the tone controls work pretty much like a Fender.

Really if you don't mind the size, a good old Fender Twin is hard to beat. Great reverb & tremolo. I've seen silverface twins for as low a $400. Some of them can sound great too, with tweakage.

I'll keep an eye out for a Twin.... Silver Face's i could live with. Pete Townshend used Silver Face Twins in the studio all thru the 70's and early 80's.... The Boogies seem expensive used and i never really see many around Toronto used....
