Need even mroe Floyd advice

Re: Need even mroe Floyd advice

Flat. And mostly seems to happen when diving, not too much when pulling up.

When you divebomb and it comes back flat and you retune using the fine tuners, when you do the next divebomb does it return in tune but pull ups return sharp? Or do divebombs always return flat even after retuning?

The latter

The latter

If it keeps coming back flat try adding much more spring tension, does it still come back flat after tightening the springs? Try adding more spring tension until it starts coming back sharp then back it off a bit. If it keeps coming back flat no matter the spring/string balance then something may be slipping or causing friction

Changing the plate is a good idea I am considering for myself, but why not change the studs with it, get the original studs for Schaller? Damaged conecction points on studs or incorrect studs may cause problems too IMO.
Spring tension in floating trems shouldn't be the important part of the equation, but a new set of springs might help too, they obviously need to be in well-working, good condition..
