Need help ASAP in ref to Vox Lil Night Train c19 mod

I was attempting to de-solder one leg of c19 because I didn't have anything small enough to clip a leg and I accidentally pulled the entire cap off. Now I just have 2 bare wires sticking up. I know this was really a dumb thing to do but I need to know if I just ruined my amp or can it work safely without the c19 cap and bare wires? Any help would be appreciated as I don't want to plug this back in unless it is safe to do so.

Do you have information about the mod you were attempting? I can only find a very blurry .jpg schematic, so can't even begin to answer your question. A link to the instructions you are following would help.

The only instructions were to either clip one leg or de-solder one leg of the c19 cap to elimate brightness/harsh treble. I was holding the cap with some small needle nose pliers while applying heat to the solder area of one of the legs and accidentally applied too much pressure to the cap with the pliers and actually pulled the cap of the legs shattering the cap and leaving just 2 bare wires sticking up from the board. Sorry I don't have any additional information.

Ok, if you were trying to disconnect one leg of the capacitor, this is the same thing as removing it from the circuit. If you accidentally pulled the body off the cap leaving just the two legs attached to the circuit board, then Mission Accomplished.

You might want to remove the two wire legs to prevent them from getting bent and shorting something out. Just grab each lead with needle nose pliers, heat with an iron, and *gently* pull them out.

The capacitor is now trash, but you may want to write down the rating in case you ever decide to reverse the mod by putting another one in. Beware that some capacitors have a polarity, so you would have to know which lead is the + terminal if you ever decide to do so.
