Need help deciding on new pickups. Please Respond!

Hey all. I've been playing for three years and have developed my playing ability. I prefer playing blues and rock. I'm looking to improve my sound with a new pickup in my 2003 Fender Fat Stratocaster. Now, my teacher suggested the SH-4 JB. I've been some research on the pickup and I think this is what I want. I just wanted some input from some of you more experienced players on this pickup and and if it would suit my needs for blues and rock. I'm also wondering how to go about putting it in the guitar. I have no idea about this stuff so if anyone knows please give me some input.

P.S.
Just wanted to know what single coils would be good to go along with the JB

Hey Stratmaster. I am too in the same pickle as you. I want to convert my S/S/S strat to H/S/S. I also want a JB in the bridge position. I am thinking about either trying one of the single coil humbuckers in the middle and neck. I think you should try single coil humbuckers. You could also choose the antiquity pickups as well. You should visit the tone wizard an see what it says. Here is the link: http://www.seymourduncan.com/website/SDToneWizard/index.shtml

i think that if you want to go with the single coil sized buckers a duckbucker in the neck and a lil 59 in the middle would be a cool combo, nice stratty neck and a beefier middle.

what tones are you looking for?

I'm looking for almost a stevie ray tone but a little different. I'm new to the tech side of guitar so I'm not really sure.

What is it that you have in there now? A PG+? do you see Seymour Duncan logo on the pickup?

Ok!

Can you tell us more what kinda tones you like? Maybe there is a better match for you. JB has tons of fans, but if you were to be a little more specific than saying blues & rock, we could be more helpful.

The Vintage Flat SSL-2 in the middle of my guitar sounds great for the SRV tone, I can nail it totally.

Ok, I'm going to try and explain what kind of tone i want the best i can. I like to have a little bit of and srv but not as raw as that. I want something with a little beefier tone but still stay close to that srv sound. Also something that will let me be able to have a type of raw rock that sounds like page or young.
