I dunno, because the bridge is slanted, I prefer the staggered in the bridge also. Being that the B & E are recessed, compared to the other pole positions, I feel I get a more balanced tone this way. A truer STRAT tone, IMO. Antiquity Custom Bridge, the best Strat pup I've ever played.mrid said:I'd recommend staggered poles in the neck and mid, with a flat pole bridge.

Im sick of fooling around with which pickups to get,you convinced me along with eveyone else and Im gonna spring for the ANTIQUITY II SURF NECK & MIDDLE, with the TEXAS HOT CUSTOM BRIDGE!
Love the HENDRIX/TROWER/SRV/BLACKMORE sound and I know these will do the job!
Your opinion, best bet would be: staggered neck/middle, Flat Bridge?
Also,Not sure about this but are they supposed to be tapped? If so what does that mean?
Sorry bout all the qusetions but Im just not to up on the technical stuff.
Thanx alot for all the help.
Hopefully these pups will have a permanent home in my strat!
