need help identifying some EMG's

I just picked up a trio of EMG single coils for 20 bucks (!!!!!!!!!!!), and need a little help figuring out what they are.

The EMG logos have all completely faded away, so thats not gonna help any.

I tested the DC resistance (does that apply to active pickups?!?!), and its about 55.8K for the neck and middle, and about 56.7K for the bridge.

Can anybody out there help me identify these things?

Re: need help identifying some EMG's

I assume there are no polepieces showing. If so, they are either the S or SA models. I have a SA set (part of a Dave Gilmour system) in my 77 strat and they sound really good for lots of styles.

Re: need help identifying some EMG's

I don't think the DC resistance will help. I believe my 85 is up at 65 or so, though (IIRC).

Anything on the bottom of the pickups at all?

Re: need help identifying some EMG's

Yeah, thats what I kinda figured.

Theres somthing written in red on the bottom of the bridge pickup, but I cant make it out.

Also, there's some strange red lettering on the bottom of the middle pickup that says "OAK", and there's another little thing close to the edge that either says "OK", "DK" or is just a box and a couple of triangles. yeesh.

I might just have to install em in a guitar and make an educated guess.

I can still see a trace of "shiny stuff" on the E in EMG on the bridge pickup. I just cant f***ing make out if its silver or gold. sheesh.

Re: need help identifying some EMG's

if there are no polepieces they should be a S or an SA pickup. That's the easy stuff.
Now try to install them.........the SA's sound warmer and less "metallic" than the S. The S sounds brighter than the SA's.
