Hello All,
Please excuse me if i am posting the same question that has already been asked, i have searched the forum but could not get the answer.

ok here it goes
i have a Fretlight guitar. please see it at www.optekmusic.com as i may not be able to explain the guitar. one thing it has 2 single coils and 1 HB at the bridge location. I want to change the HB with a SD HB.

would also like your suggestion on that as well. the resultant playing is mostly lead. so which hum. would u suggest.

please provide me any info u can about how to change the HB. As i have never seen anything below the pickup guard before.

Highly appreciate the help.

it would be a lot lot easier u can mention it in steps. so that for a complete newbie like me can understand.
Thanks

The first thing to ask is "What do you wish to change/improve, by replacing the humbucker?" There are loads to choose from, the actual process involves taking off the scratchplate, unscrewing the old one, soldering on a new one and doing the screws up again - it's pretty self-explanatory as soon as you take off the scratchplate, just make sure the correct wires are resoldered into the circuit.
the correct wires will depend on which pickup you choose. So back to the first question.
