Need Help w/ S-1 on a Strat

If anyone knows how to wire up the following I'll put ya in my will:smokin:

I have a Strat HSS w/ the S-1 switch... I have the following p/u combo to put in it..

Bridge: Hot Rail
Middle: JB jr.
Neck : 59

I'm not sure how to do this, I put in the Hotrail and JB jr but seems like there is a phasing issue and I'm getting some hum.

the original neck and mid p/u have 3 wires while the SD's have 5... so I wired the hotrail like this.... RED/WHITE to the 5way, Black to the back of the S-1 and the Green and bare to Ground..

the middle JB I wired the RED/WHITE to the 5way and the BLACK/GREEN and BARE to Ground....

The 59 I didn't put in yet cause I was totally stumped, the original has 4 wires and the 59 has 1 w/ a sheilded ground.... I could leave the orig in there as I do like the sound of it....

I know that there is something wrong ...what did I do wrong???

Thanks

If it was me, with those pickups, I'd wire them as normal to the 5-way, and bypass the S-1 system altogether. You want to use green and bare for ground, black for hot, and connect the red/whites together and tape them off.

If you wanted, you could use the S-1 switch to select between two different tone caps. Say, a .047uf and a .022uf. That would be a cool option. And maybe, use the second tone control as a "blend pot".

That would make for a very versatile and nice sounding Strat.
