Hey folks
First post on this board - I have been searching the HC boards and the Fender boards for the answers to this issue I am having.
Built a custom Tele with a buddy of mine, and want to re-wire it because we attempted a very aggressive diagram the first time, and didnt do it right. Would have been 17 distinct tones if we pulled it off, but I digress.
I've been playing it pretty much as a stock tele, but I want to get my middle pup into the mix.
Here's the setup. Duncan 5-2 at neck, Cool Rails in middle, Hot Rails at bridge.
Two push-pulls, not sure what values to get, or what caps. 5 way switch. I am thinking of installing the black ice overdrive circuit from StewMac on one of the push pulls, but not sure how to go about it without losing the tone knob or installing a miniswitch.
It's an interesting project, and I want to get the most versatility I can while still maintaining my sanity with the wiring.
I am buying all new pots and caps but I'd like some input. I know that you are supposed to used 250 for single and 500 for buckers, but not sure how that comes into play with both sing and buck in the same axe.
Please, if anyone has any suggestions or just wants to take a creative think about this, post a reply.
Thanks
Dolan
