Alrighty a few years ago, I picked up a Washburn Mercury II at a pawn shop.. It's a beautiful guitar, and frankly it sounds really nice as well. Gives me a strat like tone, which is nice for certain songs, etc..
The biggest problem it had, was the 5 way selector switch would "char" out when goin from station to station.. (Idk what else to call it..)
I bought a new one, and put it in. Well, while I was under the pickguard, I got a look at the wiring. .. Its basically a birds nest..
So being lazy, I put it all back together. and played it for a while. Now the volume and tone knobs are getting cruddy sounding as well.
So basically I'm wanting to rewire it.
It is a HSS style.. BUT it only has 1 volume and 1 tone, the tone being a push-pull for the bridge pickup split.
I usually would try to just mark each wire, and blah blah blah.. but the birds nest is making it hard to do.
I looked on SD's wiring diagrams, and I'm having a tough time finding exactly what I'm looking for.
Which is basically, a HSS, with 1 volume, 1 tone w/ split, and a 5 way selector.
If someone could find me a diagram or draw me one, I'd seriously appreciate it
