Need help with a wiring diagram.

Problem is this. This diagram is modified from Brian May wiring, just dropping out the phase switches. There is three DPDT switches for on/off, just like May had.

But it won´t work somehow. Pickups doesn´t go to ground using this, and only the bridge pu switch works. I just can´t get what is wrong, I asked here couple of weeks ago if the wiring is correct, and I was told that this works.

The wiring is supposed to connect the pups in series like in Red Special. Does anyone notice what is wrong with the diagram? I did the wiring exactly like in the diagram. I´ve checked out many times, but I just can´t get what is wrong.

I would greatly appreciate if somebody knew what´s wrong. Or is there any other diagram to show how to just use 3 on/off switches to allow pups in series?

Or may the problem be the ON/OFF/ON switches I am using? Am I supposed to get ON/OFF DPDT switches to manage to sort this out?

My modest thanks to those who can help me a little with this.

Re: Need help with a wiring diagram.

On-Off-On certainly won't work in the middle position at least. All switches on a May guitar are On-On.

Thank you sir, I appreciate this. I also thought this may be the problem.

But weren´t only the in/out phase switches ON/ON?

Re: Need help with a wiring diagram.

On my Brian May guitar, all the switches are DPDT On-On. Either the pickup is on or it's off, it's in phase or it's out of phase, there's no in between on anything.

If you are using On-Off-On, you need to always avoid the middle position.

Re: Need help with a wiring diagram.

On the Red Special circuit, all switches are on-on.

It is the way that they are interconnected that creates the "off". (For "off", read hard-wired bypass.)
