Need help with an reversed esquire wiring diagram.

Hi there, I bought a second or third hand fender tribute mexican esquire but the volume pot didn´t mute the guitar, so I tryed to resolder it and failed.

Whell, since I´m trying something new I decided to come here and ask for an esquire wiring diagram, with the volume and tone inverted (the 3 way stays in the same place) it´s because my other guitar have the volume in that spot and I´m so used to it that I always miss the sweet spot on tone knob when I try to adjust volume. NOte that I´m not a smart guy more details is more chance to sucess!

The pickup I´m still using the original simgle coil that came with it.

I can't tell what you are asking for by the description. You're saying you want the volume knob furthest away toward the jack and the tone knob in the middle? You shouldn't really need a diagram for that. Just carefully replace each wire connected to the volume one at a time with a longer piece of wire, enough to reach the furthest end of the plate, then swap the two controls on the plate.

The principal problem is that the"original" scheme wasn't working good, the volume knob did not mute the guitar, so I (not so smart) assumed that it was wrong and messed everything, like a good noob should do.

Here's the standard diagram, if that's what you're looking for. Just reverse the positions of the vol and tone pots. The wiring stays the same.

Volume control not working is usually a sign of a bad ground. Check that if you haven't already.
