Need help with HSS wiring with MEGASWITCH model E.

Hi guys!

I'm wiring up my HSS strat. I got a JB on the bridge, random rwp singlecoil in the middle, and a classic stack in the neck.

I got a schaller megaswitch and the wiring I'm trying to achieve is basically the HSS4 found here (without the dedicated tones, I have a master volume and tone) :

What I cannot wrap my head around is the schematic and colors on the drawing. The instructions say that pickup polarities need to be NS(bridge) S(middle) N(neck).
Are the coils on the schematic drawn also in reverse so the south coil is the one on top, and the closest to the bridge is the North coil of humbucker?? Otherwise the schem makes zero sense to me..:-D
Just to make sure, the duncan wire colors are: North coil + Black - White, South coil + Green - Red ?

Help me out.. if someone can Duncanize the colors on the drawing It would help me immensely. :-D

Re: Need help with HSS wiring with MEGASWITCH model E.

Hmm, I used a setup like this before on an HSS. I wrote an article about it. What I remember is that the neck had to be rw/rp for all positions to be hum cancelling. On Duncan pickups, the green & bare are ground, black is hot, and red & white are the series link (split).

Hi! I will check that out.

On this version the Neck does not need to be reverse. However if you check the link the HSS 5 - wiring does need a reverse neck pickup as the middle position uses coils from the neck and bridge.

HAH! Ok so it was actually your article that got me interested in this to begin with! :-D

If I understand correctly your wiring is basically the HSS 5 from the schaller megaswitch page, with the addition of the coil tapping stack in neck position.
I'm also using a stack for the neck as you did, but since I do not have a reverse neck pickup I decided to do the HSS4 wiring instead, with the added coil tapping of the stack neck pickup as you did.

But I'm having trouble figuring out which leads to connect from the humbucker....

Just by comparing the HSS5 (your wiring) and HSS4 it seems that in HSS4 the BLACK and RED wires are linked and connected to lug 6, Green goes to lug 7, and red goes to ground.
This makes no sense to me whatsoever, so I figured the coils are swapped in the picture.
That would make the connection as follows: GREEN and WHITE linked and connected to lug 6, BLACK lug 7, RED ground.

?!? :-D

GREAT SUCCESS! Figured it out with the good old trial-and-error method.
The correct wiring was black and green linked and connected to lug 6, red lug 7, and white ground.
