Need Help with my jimmy page wiring setup please!

Hey folks,
My names is Kris and I recently finished up working on this Jimmy page style wiring setup from the schematic, it doesn't work for me as I just plugged in to try it out, (almost cried) I haven't checked all my solders though for continuity. Anyways, I had a couple questions for you. 1. Do I need to ground the selector switch or does it ground through the jack in this setup? and 2. I have an extra wire coming from my Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups (neck and bridge) which i haven't hooked up to anything, they are bare wires. the schematic only shows to use 4? not sure if that's right? I also grounded all the grounds + the bridge ground to a small ground plate inside the cavity that i made and attached to the copper shielding. I have some Pictures if it helps.

Your help would be very much appreciated
thank you,

All your grounding spots should be in contact, in the same ground network. As soon as all them are in contact and the jack' sleeve is in the network, everything is fine.
So, yes, you should ground your switch (just throw a jumper to the case of a pot).
And, yes, you should ground your bare wires (pickup covers), solder them to the case of any pot.

In the attached diagram, each spot with that inverted triangle means a spot that should be connected to the ground network.
Other spots aren't currently represented here but, they need to be part of the ground network also:

- bridge ground
- shielding cavity ground (if any)
- pickup plate or cover grounds (if any)

This will help to reduce RF noise, mainly but, will not affect the operation of the controls.
If you have some control issue, it's related to any other thing.

The representation of the selector switch is misleading.

Conventionally, the Switchcraft type has four lugs (one for each leaf contact) facing in one direction plus a grounding contact on the chassis, facing in the opposite direction.

The inner two are linked to form the shared output. The ground/screening for the output cable is soldered to the chassis lug on the selector switch.

WATCH OUT!
Not in the case of JP's wiring!.

I used this diagram http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=jp_style and after confering with SD tech support was told that the neck tone push/pull switch acts as a kill switch. If I pull that switch out it kills everything if the p/u switch is in the treble position. Has anyone else attempted this mod and if so is the way it works, or do I have some more wiring to do.
Thx
H
