Need pickup suggestions

Hello all, I'm n a country band and am looking to upgrade a custom guitar I got for such a band
The pickups in it are in the bridge a Jb and then a quarter pounder single cool in the neck
Not bad pickups for dirt stuff but lack a bit in the clean settings

Any suggestions
I've also considered going full custom shop too

Re: Need pickup suggestions

The Jb will chicken pick nicely if you split it. I think it's one of the more country sounding humbuckers.

You're welcome. If you don't want buzz, you can run the JB in parallel for country tones. For the neck to be noiseless you could go with a single coil sized humbucker like the lil 59 (which you can also switch to parallel). Or if you want it to emulate a single coil more closely, a stack will work.

You have a few choices. For the neck, look at the Vintage Rails, the Duckbucker, and my favorite, the STK-S2, which are all hum cancelling and very good, clear single coil alternatives. For the bridge, I like the Stag Mag (split), and/or something like an Antiquity for nice clear sounds out of a humbucker.

I've used the 5-2 in many guitars, and, let me say, it is wonderful. They are my favorite true single coils. I have heard that the stack version is just as good. Contact the Custom Shop and they will sort you out.
