need pickup tape (the black stuff)

Anybody know any sources for that black tape that surrounds a pickup?
Or, know what its called, ie., specific application. I don't recall seeing it in any hardware store.

I'd like to keep it original looking. Thanks all; Artie

I use "friction tape." Isn't exact, but it works.

Artie 3M #11 cloth acetal tape. The price seems ridiculous, but then again I never actually found a place to buy this tape. I contacted 3M directly and they sent me a sample roll but would be nice to buy this somewhere without having to buy a whole case.
