I'm thinking about getting this crusty old cab and using the speakers to load my empty Marshall 1960 with:

I know that Marshall MG cabs come with G12-30's but the Marshall cabs from the 70's apparently were loaded with the english made 15ohm G12-30s. I read somewhere that Malmsteems old cabs back in the day had these speakers also.

Anyone got any experience with these? They look quite old and "vintage" so I thought they might have some loosened up mojo to them, similar to greenbacks maybe and sound better that the current crop of MG G12-30s.

Just did a search on the vintage amp forum. Seems like they were cheapies that marshall were putting in their cabs stock in the early 80's. Small magnet, not much headroom, not much bass...I think I'll pass.
