Need some advice on Strat pickups

Well hey yall. New Forum member here. I have an issue. I have an American Special Strat. I did not like the stock pups and recently replaced them with the following:

Duncan SSL 2 flat in Neck
Duncan APS 2 flat in middle rwrp
DiMarzio True Velvet in the bridge

The issue I am having is I have them all wired up correctly. Cap value is 0.47

I hear no difference in anything after postion 1 (the brige only)
At least with the stock pickups, I had a very discernable difference in all postions. I have lost that strat in between sound positions 2 and 4. Someone please help!

Man, that sounds like a serious problem : bad wiring.

Get your metal screwdriver and start (gently) tapping on the pups poles, as you travel through your 5-way switch :
1) position neck : tap the neck up, then middle, then bridge : ONLY neck should be heard
2) position neck/middle : tap the neck up, then middle, then bridge : ONLY neck and middle should be heard
3) position middle : tap the neck up, then middle, then bridge : ONLY middle should be heard
4) position middle/bridge : tap the neck up, then middle, then bridge : ONLY middle and bridge should be heard
5) position bridge : tap the neck up, then middle, then bridge : ONLY bridge should be heard

Set your preamp/amp for clean channel, and also raise the vol in order to hear the sound of the screwdriver tapping on the poles, but dont over doit, protect your ears.

If the above tests fail (and i hope they do) then we have a 5-way switch wiring problem, or some unwanted closing of some unwanted circuitry, some bad insulation, some wires touching something they are not supposed to. We'll see.

I'd guess you've got the bridge pickup wired to the wiper (or common lug) on the switch. We'll need a picture (in focus) of the guts to know for sure.

Well I used a santellan sounds wiring harness. Everything is all ready prewired.

This is what I got. And it is not because the blender pot is engaged in to humbucker mode.

Is it possible that the SSL 2 and APS 2 are so similiar? I know the SSL 2 is a Alnico 5 while the APS 2 is a Alnico 2, that is one reason I chose to do this setup.

they sound pretty different. i use aps2's in the neck and middle of a guitar and they sound different just because of the position

If there's really no difference in sound in all 5 positions, the wiring is just plain wrong.

Both of these statements cannot be true. If it's doing that, then it isn't wired correctly.
