I have a gibson lp studio with a Alnico II pro in the neck(Split) and Dimebucker in the bridge position.Early I realized that this was dumb because of the extreme treble/bass difference. I just got an ENGL fireball head and 4x12" cabinett, and found the dimebucker to be way too hot. I get a good sound, but at high volumes it screams and switching to the alnico in the neck sounds like I am changing both guitar and amp.
So I ordered the alnico II pro to install in the bridge, and i get it installed over the weekend. When i get the guitar back I will get an boss GE-7 as well. I only use a boss chorus(for clean sound) and sometimes a killerwail-wah.
I need some tips on how to get the best sound by using what I have. I play several times a week with my band and do a couple of gigs a month. My problems start on stage. Feedback, humming and ****ed up sound.
