Need some feedback

[Lightning Hands]

I have a couple of solid state amps. I've been inclined lately to experiment with tube amps. Should I get a combo or separate head and cabinet?

Personally for "experimentation" purposes I prefer a head and a smaller cab, like a 2x12. It's easy to switch out one or the other, and replacing speakers in the cab (or mixing them) is pretty easy.

A head because A.) It's easier to experiment with different speakers B.) A little cheaper C.) Easier to resell if you don't get along with it.

Both have advantages and disadvantages.
