need some help and info

hey , i placed a custom pick up sh-5 i like it alot sounds good and is pretty zebra . i have a les paul standard epiphone the ones that is about 499$ in musicians friend i love it for personal reasons. i had an ibanez gio pretty but chepear it costed about 250$ but i injected an emg pick up. the diference was just amazing very brigth clear and higher out put ok here is my great doubt please help me on this one ok the emg brings a volume and tone whit it and that helps alot and the seymour doesnt so i though that because the volume and tone from my les paul arent so good cuality i aint getting the 100% from my seymour sh-5 . am i wrong????????

the control pots in your epiphone arent great, i would suggest replaceing them with cts brand 500k the sh5 is a medium/high output pup. the emg is a very high output pup.
what amplifier are you using?

I See. thanx , right now im playing thru a jazz chorus 90 combo
but soon i hope to break my piggy bank and get a half stack ,maybe a crate bv120 or what i could get. so i just cang go to an electronic /instruments shop and ask for the pots ??

most bigger music shops have them.. best off going to a shop which has a luthier on-site, he should stock CTS pots.. CTS are like the favourite make of many guitarists

I would replace all four pots with the CTS units. Also, see if the shop carries Orange Drop capacitors. Those should also help in getting better sound quality.
