My local guitar shop has an account with the UK importer/distributor for Rickenbacker. His most recent order took them over two years to fulfil! In that time, the MSRP will have changed.

yeah as i said, if u gotta ask you cant afford, im not saying theyre expensive but if i had the money to buy one i could instead buy 150 large hand tossed pepperoni pizzas with extra cheese...... so yeah......

Yup, this is the norm. Anywhere from 12-24 months I've seen on new orders. They simply refuse to scale up to meet demand as it risks quality. Personally If (WHEN!) I go to get a Rick I will be playing a bunch that are already in stock as their quality in terms of the build is very consistent, the sound still seems to waver quite a bit.

well even if quality is there i feel 1-2 YEARS is a wee bit too long to wait

That's why if you really want one you go find one in stock!

Same thing with MusicMan, average wait we had on a new order was 8 months. Get what you pay for though.
