So.....I've got a Duncan Little 59' for the bridge and a Vintage Stack for the neck. I got the guitar gutted of the soul-sucking EMGs and included two 500k DPDT pots, a new input jack, a 3 way switch and some knobs.

The idea is that with the standard Tele 3-way switching the DPDT push/pulls would split coils; Volume to neck and Tone to bridge respectively.

After scouring everywhere online and especially the very cool and well laid-out SD schematics here I can find how to split the coils and how to wire up a Tele. My tech, however, seems to want both in one.

If I weren't so sloppy with a soldering iron I'd do it myself. But he seems to really want the full package befor ehe gets going on it.

Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks...

There is a schematic on the Duncan site that details wiring up two humbuckers with one volume and one tone with both being DPDT pots. The three-way switch is a Les Paul type though. I would follow that diagram. If your tech cannot figure it out from there, get another tech...

I looked through the list but can't find anything with two splits on it, each dedicated to a separate pickup.

Could you toss a link my way?

I'm thinking the tech's just being jumpy...he's a good dude.....but he likes to have everything a certain way before he warms up the soldering iron.

Re: Need Tele with split-Humbucker schematics

The schematic link I included with my first post includes one humbucker being split. You would just split the other humbucker with the other DPDT pot.

I completely missed the link. My apologies.

Thanks for your help....

Well said Butch, on something like this ... one, the guy should know how to do it, and ... two, there is no difference being having two sheets of paper, vs. one sheet will all the same info on it. Sounds kind flakey to me.
