I got that marshall jcm800 quad from ebay and its great but i cant move it anywhere easily and cant take it to jams because its got no wheels and there isnt always someone around to help me carry it. So i need to buy wheels, got no idea where to get them from though.

I rang a music shop and they said that they can contact their marshall dealer after the long weekend but i want a top quality set so they are better than the crap that come with new marshall boxes. Wondering if hardware stores sell this kind of thing also or would they be pretty specific wheels that only music suppliers would have?

Let me tell you, THE BEST casters are the Mesa Boogie casters. I think they call them Trak-Locs. They are much more durable than the kind that fit into a socket; little more expensive and darn well worth it.

Check the accessories page on the Mesa website.

I have a set of Mesa Trac-Loc casters and they are in fact quite the bomb. The 4" Mesa casters have a cool milled aluminum base with spring clips that are easy to operate and like all things Mesa, they are rock solid.

Unfortunately, when I bought my set in 2001 they retailed at $125.

Guitar Center sells the removeable Ernie Ball casters and I believe the EB casters are $15. The EBs are closer to a 2" caster and I have installed them on a couple of amps with fine results. My bass player has used the EBs for 2+ years with no complaints.

While we're on the subject do you guys recommend the flat casters or the ones that have rod in the center? Also any recommendations on casters that can handle about 100 lbs or more.

Good to know about those Mesa castors. I've been using Home Depot ones on my Bogner with success.
